Pastor Gil's story

Hello, my name is Gilbert DeLaO (day-lah-oh), Jr. (but please call me "Gil").  I was saved over 27 years ago in the Calvary Chapel of West Covina (now Diamond Bar CC) where I got grounded in the faith and started working in ministry.  I was involved in counseling, the helps ministry, educating new believers, and the gang outreach program and received my ordination from pastor Raul Ries of Diamond Bar. 

Seeing the Lord open a door to Northern California, we moved in 1982. I soon found myself working as an assistant pastor in helping to found a Calvary Chapel affiliate.  Then in 1986, the Lord opened the door for our Red Bluff CC where I continue to serve today.  

I live in Red Bluff with my wife, Irene (also my childhood sweetheart and best friend). (We recently celebrated our 27th wedding anniversary!)  The Lord has also blessed us with four wonderful daughters, three cute grandchildren, a loving church family...and a fantastic bird dog!  

I'm really excited about what the Lord is doing at CC-RB!  It's such a satisfying thing to watch His hand on our church family!  My prayer is that He would continue to shed His grace upon us as we try to seek and follow His will.
